New Heinz Ketchup Packet Unveiled

(MYFOX NATIONAL) – A new ketchup package gives America something they have been craving: choice.

You can be a dipper or squeezer.

The new Heinz Dip & Squeeze dual-function package gives ketchup lovers two ways to enjoy ketchup: peel back the lid for easy dipping, or tear off the tip to squeeze onto foods. The new package holds three times as much ketchup as the traditional packet.

The new product marks the first ketchup packet makeover for the food industry in 42 years.

The company has also launched a Facebook fan page, www.facebook.com/HeinzKetchup .

The new packet is in test markets and will roll out at some fast-food restaurants in the fall, reported The Associated Press.

On BuzzFeed.com many commenters think the new package is an improvement over the old packets.

"Seriously, I have ALWAYS wondered why they didn't at least make the pouches 3-4 times as large. Who in the world uses one tiny pouch for anything? And who wants to try ripping the corners off of three of the insanity-producing foil pouches?" posted Bear Beorning .
