Green  Bay –  In the past decade, Packers Family Night has become a tradition at the team's annual training camp.

The name says it all.

The highlights, of course, are the practice drills and intra-squad scrimmage between the Packers' offense and defense in Lambeau Field that begin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 3rd.

Sandwiched in between are family-friendly activities that include a picnic, Packers Experience, and face painting.  A spectacular fireworks show in the storied stadium concludes the evening.

A fan favorite is the Chili's "Jerseys Off Our Backs"promotion, which involves a random drawing of jerseys worn in the scrimmage by approximately 20 players.  Player interviews are also held on the field following the scrimmage and broadcast over the public address system.

Two years ago, tight end Jermichael Finley boldly told the crowd thePackers were Super Bowl-bound.  His proclamation proved accurate, as Green Bay defeated Pittsburgh in Super Bowl XLV.

Tickets are priced at $10 and go on sale at 9 a.m. on June 25th. The event benefits Wendy's Wonderful Kids foster care adoption program.

The 12th annual Packers Family Night is presented by Bellin Health and is aired statewide on FOX television, including FOX 25/48 in Eau Claire and La  Crosse.

Family Night gives Packers fans the first chance to see the 2012 team in action at Lambeau Field.  It is typically held on a Saturday evening, but was changed to Friday this year because Green Bay opens exhibition play against the Chargers in San Diego on Thursday, Aug. 9th.
