DNR hires council to measure trees

Soon, you might find someone at your door asking to measure the trees on your lot.

The Department of Natural Resources has hired the Lumberjack Resource Conservation and Development Council to measure the trees as part of a statewide survey. They will be determining the composition and value of urban trees across the state.

The information will help managers, businesses and property owners determine what trees to grow and plant, and if any pests are present.
