A boy who drowned in the Mississippi river almost a year ago gives every parent a reason to want to teach their child how to swim. But that's not always possible for families, as swimming lessons cost money, but soon there will be a chance for child to learn if he or she wants to.

The La Crosse YMCA will be offering free swimming lessons the week of Aug 6th and the North YMCA will be offering it the week of Aug 13th.

YMCA La Crosse: Aug 6th-10th 6yrs-8yrs 5pm-5:40pm   8yrs-14yrs 5:45pm-6:25pm

YMCA North: Aug 12th-16th 6yrs-8yrs 5pm-5:40pm   8yrs-14yrs 5:45pm-6:25pm
