A West Salem man convicted of killing his parents has been sentenced to life in prison.
Wednesday morning, a judge ordered Eric Koula to life in prison on each count with no parole. Koula was convicted of two counts of first degree intentional homicide. He shot his parents in their Town of Barre home in May of 2010.
Koula maintained his innocence at the sentencing Wednesday, telling the judge he will continue to fight for his release. He said in court "I'm going to go on and continue to fight and prove that I'm innocent. To show people I did not do this. I will not quit who is responsible for this is still out there."
