Sparta man tased, arrested after chasing jogger - FOX 25/48 - WLAX/WEUX La Crosse & Eau Claire News

A Sparta man is tased and arrested after police say he chased a woman who was jogging.

It happened Sunday night just before 8:30 in Sparta on W. Montgomery Street near Court Street.

The woman told police she slowed down to walk, and noticed 18-year-old Thomas Hartman who started running after her.

After yelling at him to stop following her she found some people at an open garage and asked for help.

Officers say Hartman ran off, but when he was found, officers had to tased him when he resisted arrest. He's charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and bail jumping.
