Petition could trigger recall election for La Crosse Common Coun - FOX 25/48 - WLAX/WEUX La Crosse & Eau Claire News

LA CROSSE, Wis. -- A new effort is underway to trigger a recall election against the La Crosse Common Council President.

The "Restore La Crosse Committee" filed papers to get a petition going on Friday against Audrey Kader.

Tea party activist Greg Luce says Kader failed at leading the council created a negative forum for the community and failed to provide direction to the Mayor.

Luce and the group say Kader is trying to get rid of the office of Mayor Matt Harter and replace him with a hired city administrator.

We tried contacting Kader on Friday.

The group has 60 days to turn in 158 signatures.
